ABOUT JOHN

 

JOHN KASARDA attended the University of Iowa and Carnegie Mellon University graduating with degrees in stage design—

Earliest work in New York included assisting stage designers

Ming Cho Lee, Robin Wagner and Tony Walton which led to art direction in films : Heartburn, Meet the Parents, Ransom and,

with Stuart Wurtzel, Angels in America (HBO) and Enchanted among others—

 

John’s design work includes films A Late Quartet, Masquerade, All I Wanna Do and television shows Allegiance, Deception, A Gifted Man, Mercy, Running Wilde and 

Lipstick Jungle—

 

John has designed many operas for the Aspen Opera Theatre; a component of the yearly Aspen Music Festival in Colorado--

 

John has received two Emmy and two Art Director

Guild awards—

 

John lives on Manhattan’s Upper West Side.
